The Prisoner was a man imprisoned in the Chatelet. In Vadim's escape from the prison, the prisoner asked to be released. Vadim ordered D'Artagnan to release them using the keys. Unlike Vadim, however, the prisoner was unable to escape and was stopped by Captain Treville and the Musketeers.[1]
